Daniel has a wide range of experience in technical consulting, software management, and software development, specializing in network security and object-oriented systems. Daniel has considerable experience in Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology as part of high-profile patent litigation teams. Daniel has also acted as a technical expert in antitrust litigation and has performed technical analysis relating to copyright issues, trade secrets, patent infringement, pre-litigation portfolio analysis, and prior art searches.

Prior to Precedia, Daniel was a technical director, engineering manager, and software engineer for various Silicon Valley start-ups. Daniel holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
